About GEO

GeoCoin has created a real life scavenger hunt where users can drag and drop cryptocurrency onto the map for others to collect. Using your smartphone GPS, users are able to “mine” GEO through a process called call Proof-of-Location (PoL). This provides a fun blockchain gaming experience with the goal of promoting mass adoption of cryptocurrency technologies.

GEO can be spatially airdropped anywhere in the world for users to collect. In order to help guide this process, we encourage our users to use our Proof-of-Location GEO Drops Interface. This interface allows people to pan and zoom into their local area, then click the Drop GEO button to place a magnet in the center of the screen. This magnet will attract new GEO drops through an automated process to locate nearby green spaces such as parks, where it is safe to collect. There are some limits on how many magnets you can drop. We encourage people to drop only 1 within 24 hours, spatially distribute them further away from other existing magnets and a limit of 3. These magnets are processed in batches on a semi-weekly basis and function as the inflation rate for increasing our circulating supply.

“Welcome to a new series of posts entitled Coin Report: these will comprise of a precise, exhaustive and extensive analysis of specific altcoins, published periodically (as I get around to them). Ideally, I’ll be posting one report a week, but this first one has taken several hours to research and will probably take another two or three to write up and edit. So, one every fortnight may be more likely. The first of this series will feature GeoCoin, and the reports will be written according to the following framework:”
